The event marked a symbolic yet significant transition in the leadership of one of Uganda’s most vibrant Rotary clubs.

In his acceptance speech, Kariisa expressed gratitude and enthusiasm for the opportunity to serve, stating that his assumption of the presidency is grounded in a long-standing passion for humanitarian work.

“I take on this role not because I must, but because I love to serve humanity,” Kariisa said. “I have done Rotary work long before I officially became a Rotarian, and now, I’m excited to serve with all of our members.”

Renowned for his action-driven leadership style and commitment to societal advancement, Kariisa reaffirmed his personal commitment to delivering at least one impactful community project each year.

Kariisa articulated a leadership philosophy grounded in collaboration, shared responsibility, and continuous growth.

He assured members that his presidency would be inclusive and accountable.

“This won’t be a one-man race. We shall lead together. Keep each other in check. Where I’m too fast, I’ve asked them to slow me down. Too slow? To push me forward.”
