Kampala, Uganda – In a dramatic turn of events, the ongoing feud between popular Ugandan musicians Pallaso (Pius Mayanja) and Alien Skin (Patrick Mulwana) spiraled into violent altercations on January 1, 2025. The conflict, which has been brewing for months, erupted with significant consequences for both artists and their fanbases.

The day began with chaos at the Empele Festival where Alien Skin and his entourage reportedly stormed the stage, disrupting Pallaso’s performance. This led to a physical altercation where security had to intervene, including firing bullets into the air to restore order, highlighting the intensity of the situation.

Following the festival incident, tensions escalated. In the early hours of January 2, Pallaso, along with a group of supporters, allegedly retaliated by attacking Alien Skin’s residence in Kizungu Zone, Makindye Division. The attack resulted in substantial property damage, including the burning of Alien Skin’s Range Rover, and left at least two individuals hospitalized. The police in Kampala are now investigating these incidents for aggravated robbery and malicious damage.

In response, Alien Skin’s team reportedly counterattacked Pallaso’s home, leading to further vandalism of property. The situation has drawn sharp criticism from the Uganda Police Force, who have condemned the use of gangs by musicians for intimidation and warned of legal repercussions.

Alien Skin has since publicly announced his intention to not retaliate further, choosing to forgive Pallaso and move past the violence. However, the public discourse is divided. Some fans and industry peers are calling for a musical battle as a constructive way to resolve their rivalry, while others are concerned about the implications of such violence on the music industry’s image and safety of concerts.

The incidents have sparked a broader conversation about the culture of conflict among Ugandan musicians and the role of fan bases in fueling such disputes. There’s a growing call for more peaceful resolutions to personal and professional disagreements within the entertainment sphere.

As this story develops, the music community and fans alike are left pondering the future relationship between these once-collaborative artists, now embroiled in a bitter feud that has transcended into real-life violence. The Uganda Police Force continues its investigation, and both artists have yet to issue comprehensive statements regarding the legal actions they might take or how they plan to reconcile.
