Rickman Knocks Out Shakib in Kampala Rumble
In a celebrity boxing bout held on Saturday night, singer and radio personality Derrick Ddungu, a.k.a. Rickman Manrick, knocked out socialite and entrepreneur Shakib Cham.
In round 2, Rickman’s punches landed heavily on either side of his head, knocking him unconscious, before he fell to the ground helplessly.
Zari Hassan watched the entire bout, cheering on her husband all the way. She also comforted him later on after the fight.
The boxing fight was held on August 30, 2025, at the MTN Arena, Lugogo, amid an eager crowd that watched everything unfold.
In the build-up to the fight, Shakib Cham’s fans warned Rickman, taunting him about how Shakib had been sent by Rickman’s ex-lover, Sheilah Gashumba, to finish him off.
Rickman’s endurance, however, and boxing skills were on show early enough in the fight, clinching him a second win in the highly popularised celebrity boxing games series.
It should be remembered that Rickman has also previously thumped fellow singer, Grenade Official, in a boxing bout that happened in December 2024.
