Speaking on the matter, Amooti maintained that he and the late DJ Messe Bontwe have been on good talking terms and had no beef between them at all.

We are mature and grown up people. Our difference was only that we had separated as Amarula Family and everyone decided to take another path. He left the country for greener pastures to the U.S.A.

Our separation wasn’t this childish issue that we beef one another, No. We were on good talking terms as we would jazz often.

Amooti was downbeat since the passing of DJ Messe happened on the eve of his concert as he is set to mark 25 years in the comedy industry.

He explained that DJ Messe Bontwe’s ancestral home is in Kabale where he will be laid to rest.
