Winnie Nwagi speaks out on quitting Swangz Avenue

Winnie Nwagi has addressed fresh allegations that she had decided to quit Swangz Avenue in pursuit of a solo career.

The rumors have been circulating on social media stating that the diva was not on good terms with top management.

During her performance in the weekly ‘Shades Of Kampala’ band nights at The Villa, revelers got a chance to ask her questions, and a journalist in the crowd raised this particular concern.

In her response, Winnie Nwagi dismissed the claims that she wanted to walk away from the label that had nurtured her career.

“When I was coming on stage, you (Mr. Henrie) introduced me as a Swangz Avenue artist. I’m still under Swangz Avenue,” she said.

This is not the first time Winnie Nwagi is rumored to have deserted the label. Years back, social media was awash with allegations that the ‘Mukisenge’ hitmaker had been expelled over indecency and her social media lifestyle.

In an interview, she noted that her bosses were never bothered with her lifestyle as long as she was delivering as per her contract.

To stop the rumor, Swangz Avenue renewed her contract, a sign that they believed in her talent.
