BREAKING: Two Dead, Several Injured in School Bus Crash in Zigoti
At least two people have been killed and several others injured in a fatal bus accident on Sunday morning in Kasoozo Village, Zigoti Town Council, Mityana District.
The bus belonging to HMK Company, registration number UAP 829U, was transporting pupils of Daystar Junior School in Makindye when it reportedly veered off the road and overturned.
Police and emergency response teams rushed to the scene, and the injured were transported to nearby health facilities for urgent medical attention.
Witnesses say the bus was descending a slope when the driver appeared to lose control.
“The scene was chaotic. The children were screaming for help,” said a resident who witnessed the crash.
Authorities have yet to confirm the number of injured, but local officials indicate the toll could rise.
The identities of the deceased have not yet been released, pending notification of their families.
